About Olive & Ann Herbals

Greetings — I am Alora Pope De Calero, the woman behind Olive and Ann Herbals. A mama, medicine woman in the making, and spiritual embodiment, learning to walk in rhythm with the land. My work is about remembering what it means to live close to the Earth — to listen, to slow down, and to care for our families in the ways our ancestors once did.

Olive and Ann are my ancestral grandmothers, whose spirits still walk with me. I never got to truly know them in this lifetime, but I feel them in every plant that crosses my path. Their strength, their softness, their wisdom — it all shows through this work. I believe that plants are one of the ways they speak to me, guiding me to keep their legacy of care alive through my hands and heart.

My journey began through motherhood — creating simple, natural remedies to care for my baby’s skin and soothe her little spirit. But over time, I realized it was more than just learning about herbs. The plants were teaching me: patience, presence, reciprocity. They showed me that they aren’t here just to decorate our gardens — they’re living relatives, filled with stories and medicine, waiting to help us remember who we are.

Olive and Ann Herbals was born from that remembering — a devotion to nurture, to listen, and to share the wisdom of the plants and the women who came before me. Every creation you find here is a prayer of connection: to your body, to your spirit, and to the sacred rhythm of Mama Earth.
